‘Wine Group Too’ was set up to accommodate people who wanted to explore more the world of wine with like minded individuals. The long standing Wine Appreciation group had reached its maximum number so the second one came into being.
The idea is to try a wide variety of wines from around the world from various distributors in the U.K. including supermarkets.
This group decided they wished to meet early evening in members homes with each host choosing a theme and then buying the wines that would be relevant to that theme.
There is no charge to participate as each person takes it in turn to host and provide the wines.
The group number is restricted to ten as that was the number members felt that would suit their homes and other small appropriate venues such as the wine bar in Barnard Castle.
Anyone wishing to join can forward their name and contact details to me - Jane Mardon - the current the convenor. They will go on a waiting list till a vacancy arrives.
