This group is focussing on enjoyment and appreciation of poetry. Not a high brow approach, but delving into possible meaning for the poet and our own emotional reactions to the poem and it’s impact on us. Occasionally we will be joined by a “proper poet” to read and discuss some of their work.
We agree a theme for the next meeting at each session. Previously we have chosen poems from WW1 era, Christmas poetry and poetry with humour.
