Our first meeting after the summer break did not go as well as expected. I thought we would begin with a warm-up of an anagram only crossword, usually the easiest clue type. Unfortunately, in my haste, I had not read the instructions! And, I did not have the answers!
So, six brains struggled for nearly an hour to solve the fiendish puzzle before giving up and heading for the coffee and plate of biscuits.
I am including a copy of the crossword with this report and if any of our readers can solve it, I would be extremely pleased to hear from you.
With brain strain we continued with a relatively easier Guardian crossword……answers via Danword when time began to run out!
Our next meeting at 2pm in the Guide HQ is on Wednesday 14th October, all welcome including beginners.
