In September the lunch group returned to the Raby High Force Hotel. We were seated in the Garden Room restaurant with its panelled walls and tasteful décor. The hotel was busy with a mix of tourists and locals and some of us dressed up, and other guests ready for a hike.
We welcomed another new member and this month we were a party of 10 with many of our group away on holiday.
As usual we had pre ordered our meals with a range of choices including fish and chips, Cumberland sausage and soup and sandwiches. The most popular dessert was the fruit crumble although the chocolate truffle tart looked very inviting too.
We had an enjoyable and relaxing lunch with good company, pleasant food and a nice atmosphere.
