September 2026 - Beamish Museum

In September the photography group made a return visit to Beamish Museum, partly because there is too much there to cover in just a single visit, and partly because the tickets bought for our previous visit are valid for a year!  The weather was cloudy with intermittent sunshine, which made for more interesting photo opportunities, and the museum was busy despite it being “back to school” week.  Maybe the existence of “Baker days” played some part, but there were also a lot of seniors and pre-school children, so lots of opportunities for candid “street” shots, but more challenging to get well composed, uncluttered pictures of the buildings, etc.  Despite the challenges, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and came away with some images we could be happy with.

Our next outing will be to Robin Hood’s bay on Tuesday, 6th October.
