In October the lunch group returned to Valentine’s restaurant in Barnard Castle. We were a party of 12 and were split between 2 tables of 6 Members on each.
We had pre ordered the food and the meals were served promptly and all together. Valentines had a special lunchtime deal of 2 main courses for £26 and as a large group some were able to take advantage of this offer with others choosing from the main menu. The most popular main course was the lasagne followed by the peppercorn chicken, both were very tasty. The most popular dessert was the Eton mess with berries.
We had an enjoyable and relaxing lunch with good company, pleasant food and a nice atmosphere.
We are not having a lunch out in November as both Convenors are away on holiday.
The Christmas lunch has been booked for the Three Horseshoes for the 16th December.
