We met at Lillian’s house for this month’s Scrabble meeting.
We stopped for refreshments of tea, coffee, a delicious homemade Victoria Sponge, and an assortment of Kit-Kats and caramel bars.
There were 7 of us and we split into 2 groups for the first round. Paula, Jeanette and Phil played, and Lillian, Judith, Regina and Ray made up the other team. Phil won his game with a score of 221, including a seven-letter word of SHEAVED for 79 points. Judith won her game with a score of 185.
We started the second round of games with the two winners, and next highest runner up, so Judith, Phil and Jeanette played. The second group was made up of Ray, Regina, Lillian and Paula. Judith won her round with a score of 246, including a seven-letter word of RINSING for 68 points.
Regina won her game with a score of 168 with STEEPING for 65 points, Ray also got a seven-letter word DIALLERS for 68.
