In July the lunch group returned to the Crosskeys Inn at Eppleby.
We had pre ordered our meals with the most popular starter being the twice baked cheddar cheese and spinach souffle with homemade focaccia; this was delicious. The chosen main courses included fillet of chalk stream trout, fish pie and rigatoni pasta with all being well received. Most of us even managed desert with a variety of options being available.
The dessert pictured is lemon and raspberry parfait with raspberry sorbet.
A special mention goes to Claire at the Crosskeys who made sure we had outstanding service, she made a note of who was sitting where so she could bring the meals straight to the member. We all received our meals at the same time. At the end of the meal Claire totted up each individual bill and came over to us directly for payment. Exceptional service and lovely food. I can highly recommend this venue.
