We met at Judith and Phil’s house for this month’s Scrabble meeting.
There were 7 of us and we split into 2 groups of 3 and 4 for the first round. Monica, Kate and Ray played their first game, which Kate won with a score of 294 including a 7 letter word of TATTERS for 56 points. Regina, Paula, Phil and Judith played, which Paula won with a score of 239 including a 7 letter word WRITERS for 75 points
We stopped for half time refreshments of tea, coffee, and homemade chocolate mint ganache with bourbon biscuit.
We started playing the second round with the two winners and highest runner ups, so Kate, Paula Regina and Ray played, and Kate also won this second game with a score of 257 including AGILEST for 82 points; Ray also scored 66 for VILIFIED.
In Judith, Phil and Monica’s game Monica won with a score of 121.
Well done to Kate for 2 wins, and to everyone for an enjoyable afternoon. Thank you to Judith for hosting and her delicious cake.
