We met at Judith and Phil’s house again for this month's Scrabble meeting.
There were 8 of us and as the weather was fine one of the groups played in the garden. Team 1 consisted of Kate, Monica, Jeanette and Ray, Team 2 were Paula, Judith, Phil and Regina. Kate won her game with a score of 170 including a 7 letter word 'LETTERS' for 69 points. Paula won her game with a score of 188 points.
We stopped for refreshments of tea, coffee, and homemade chocolate mint ganache and shortbread biscuits.
We started playing the second round with the two winners and highest runner ups, So Kate, Paula Regina and Ray played, and Regina won with a score of 239 points, including a 7 letter word 'ADVISING' for 74. The other group was made up of Phil, Judith, Monica and Jeanette, with Phil winning this game with 263 points.
