This month's speaker will be Keith Simpson who will talk about The Castles of Durham.
The Castles of County Durham’ isn’t designed to give a chronological and coherent history of each castle, rather it is me sharing some information about each place which appeals to me and invites people to think about why one place is ruined and another isn’t, and maybe to go and see for themselves, as I have done many times. It most certainly isn’t a dry and academic talk. I aim to have as many in the audience awake at the end as at the start!
