Fifteen keen crafty folks met on Saturday 9th May in the Guide HQ for our second Glass Workshop led by Helen Wearmouth, the Crafty Cumbrian Lass. Following instructions for cutting the coloured glass into different shapes and sizes, everyone completed their chosen article, a T-light or flower panel, by sticking the pieces and additional tiny beads of glass onto a clear glass square or oblong.
The concentration was truly awesome (see photos!) and the completed designs were very colourful, reflecting the personality of each person.
Helen will now fire the finished pieces in her kiln and add them to either a T-light holder or attach the flower panels to a wooden stand before they are returned for collection.
