Dear Friends
Time is flying by and we are now halfway through May. Unfortunately, May is proving to be a bit cold, windy and damp, which is even more disappointing after the promising last week in April, sunshine and temperatures that rose to 22C.
So, what has been happening since my last letter? Well, I have been on the Scottish holiday organised by Dorothy. Our U3A group was the backbone of the tour, only about 8 persons were not Teesdale U3A! The weather was mixed, the scenery lovely and the company excellent. The daffodils were still at their best, see the photo taken at Ballindalloch Castle.

As usual I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the next monthly meeting and catching up with all that you have been doing.
I had family visiting the last week of April, so lucky it was the good weather week which allowed us to visit a number of the nearby attractions, Raby Castle, Acorn Bank, Eggleston Hall, Holker Hall, Ampleforth Abbey and Beningbrough Hall. A very busy week. Lots of spring colour, and the Mediterranean Garden at Beningbrough Hall has come on leaps and bounds since my last visit. (see photo)

Bye for now
Julie
